The Mary Sue interviewed one of the writers for the TV show Game of Thrones, Bryan Cogman, about his book Inside HBO’s Game of Thrones.

This can go under TV and movies. Kit Harrington, who plays Jon Snow in Games of Thrones, talks about working with Ciaran Hinds as Mance Rayder and he talks about Silent Hill: Revelation 3D, which just hit theatres.

Community has an interactive Halloween game. It’s shameful that this show is not back on TV yet.

Showtime has renewed Homeland for a third season!

Laurie Metcalfe, Roseanne’s TV sister and Sheldon’s TV mom, is going to be on a new TV show.

Ryan Cartwright is coming to The Big Bang Theory

Seth Green is gonna be on How I Met Your Mother! Willow and Oz! Willow and Oz!

The Los Angeles Times didn’t take too well to Mockingbird Lane.

Entertainment Weekly had a nice article on Arrested Development in their reunions issue. This is the picture they took for it.

I read this article on ABC Family’s new show Continuing Fred.

The Following, the Kevin Bacon thriller, starts mid-season.

A book of maps for Westeros is coming out! That’s Game of Thrones, if you’re not cool enough to know.

Good and bad news. Matthew Vaughn, the director of X-Men: First Class, will not be directing the second First Class movie. That sounds very confusing. Guess who might be, though? Brett Ratner, who did the first two wonderful X-Men movies. Yay!

This could go under books and movies. Also sadness. Apparently Isaac Asimov was so mad at being held up in traffic due to Ghostbusters filming, he yelled at Dan Aykroyd. That’s just mean.

Revolution SF has an article on SHIELD and a character headlining it. Hint: It’s one we didn’t think was gonna headlines anything anymore. RevSF also gives us reasons why the show may not be awesome.

More SHIELD news: Ming-Na, no stranger to science fiction TV, is going to be on SHIELD, too. She was previously on Stargate Universe and Eureka. I didn’t make this connection, but according to her Wikipedia article, her character in Eureka had the same last name as her - Wen.

Also apparently Gary Mitchel has never seen Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. I do not understand this. This is stranger than anything in scifi.

The Mary Sue has an article about a worldwide internet downfall yesterday.

A 14-year old girl is rebuilding a car for her 16th birthday.

This goes under both science and technology. The Royal Society called for a mass edit of Wikipedia to add and flesh out entries relating to women scientists. This was in honor of Ada Lovelace day. They evencreated a Wikipedia entry for the edit-a-thon. Now that’s being thorough.

The Young Ones

The Young Ones S1E1 - Demolition by Headinajar I loved this show when I was a kid. I can't believe it only had twelve episodes! It felt like more.

Will Arnett lets it drop who ELSE is gonna be on Arrested Development!

Trailer for the new Evil Dead movie

Would it be treachery if I said this looks scarier than the original?

Tom Hanks recites slam poem about...Full House

This is one of the strangest things I've seen this year.

Jonathan Coulton plays "Portal" on CBS

Defiance

Jaime Murray and Julie Benz. That makes me want to give it a shot. The website gives the date April 2013. That's not too far away. With Syfy, I'm used to waiting a year or more for shows! (Yes, I'm talking about Battlestar Galactica.) Game site Show site In this video, they say they're working with a lot of people from BSG. Nice!

Television and Movies

Psych has a start date. It’s not until February 27th. That makes me sad.
Ridley Scott talks about Blade Runner 2. I put the video on my blog. He seems to let slip the answer to a very important question from the first movie. Don’t watch if you don’t want to know!
TVLine.com has a list of web series they recommend. I’ve been a fan of The Guild for years, and I’m so happy it’s back for a sixth season.
Blastr has an article about John Barrowman from Torchwood joining Arrow.
Watch the first five minutes of American Horror Story, Asylum. It premieres Wednesday the 17th.

Zombies Care

Zombies get people's attention. This is a pretty good video. The graphics are nice. Some people knock using zombies in public service messages, but I understand that people (especially younger people) don't pay attention unless they want to. This might make them want to. The CDC has done something similar.

We Have S.H.I.E.L.D. Characters!

TVLine has a list of characters for Joss Whedon's new show S.H.I.E.D. If you have to ask what that is, then go Google and then come back. The article also states that Joss Whedon will be co-writing the series with his brother Jed and sister-in-law Maurissa Tancharoen. I didn't remember this, but Maurissa Tancharoen was Groupie No. 1 in Dr. Horrible's Sing-A-Long Blog! Okay, you can go back to protecting the world, now.
